2015 North Americans - Bayview Yacht Club, Detroit Michigan, USA

Congrats to Andrew Lockhart and crew for their win of the Ultimate 20 North American Championship in this challenging regatta with sixteen boats in attendance.  The first two place boats were Bayview YC members sailing club owned boats with Matt Graham/Spencer Colpaert/Alex Hume coming in second.  In third was local U20 guru (and class measurer) Richard Hunt with Lake Norman NC family BJ, Emily and Bill Jones in forth and previous two time NAC champion Tac Boston coming in fifth.  Tough sailing with about every condition Lake St Clair can throw at you, moderate shifty, heavy with shifty gusts and light with some shifts.  Guess maybe shifty was the norm.  It was a real challenge for the RC who did the best possible to provide us with a very good regatta.  Both clubs put forth a great effort to make our event a good one for the records.  My account here is not too descriptive but as my sixteenth U20 NAC event this one goes on the list with all the others, great event with great boats and wonderful class folks.
