Title: NOR for Western Carolina's Hospice ragatta 22-24 Oct 2010
Post by: Chuck Ballew on September 21, 2010, 02:14:55 PM
This will be a great tuneup for the East Coast Nationals on Lake Murray. Its about 90 minutes between clubs. We have plenty of parking if you want to leave your boat. Its a great time of year here in the South Carolina to showcase our club, http://www.wcsc-sailing.org/ The Notice of race is available online.

We had 5 U20's last year. Hopefully this will become a regular stop on the U20's traveling circuit.

It'll  be my 4th Hospice at Western Carolina. Always a good time.

Sassy and Scissors will be there.

Glad you guys can make it. This will be a nice little tune up for sailing in Columbia in November.

Another Western Carolina Hospice regatta is in the books. We had four Ultimate 20 compete. Don has been trailering his boat down for ten years now. My boat #58 was there. Steve Rose brought #50 and #228 from Columbia plus the official U20 Goombay mixer was there. Many people get their first indoctrination of the U20 standing in line to get Steve's home brew. I know I speak for everyone in thanking Steve for his support. Don is a great representative of the Ultimate 20 group and a good friend. Thanks Don.

We had four races on Saturday and 2 races on Sunday. The Race committee did a super job running three courses for centerboards, keelboats and distance races. Eighty boats competed  from a dozen one design fleets, The food, parties and happy hours were great.

Below is a link to the results. See you there next year.
