Time for (a bunch of) cosmetic repairs on my 1995 #28. I thought there was some information out there on a particular shade of gelcoat used on these older boats but perhaps it was on the old yahoo group.
I am a rookie at gelcoat repair but after preparing the surface I hope to be able to trowel it on small nicks, building it up a little over the surface, and fair in the repair with sandpaper. I understand that matching the color can be a challenge.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a matching brand of gelcoat/color? Any tips or techniques?

Brian,
Matching Gelcoat is a very difficult job. Best to find a professional for this. I have had mine redone and it came out great.

I understand that color matching will be required -- I know an artist I can defer to. It may not be an issue to try and match the original brand as it has seen a lot of UV over the years. Its hard to believe the boat is over 15 years old now!
