Title: Aluminum Spreader Width

Hi All,

I'm replacing the spreader boots, and, without having to take down the mast to measure, what is the width of the spreader so I can buy the proper size?

Also, does anyone have better alternatives to the rubber spreader boots?

2 1/4" x 5/8".

I dislike the spreader boots.  I use high quality 3M electrical tape or occasionally real rigging tape.
