Title: Buyer's Questions

Good Day all,
I am looking to buy a used Ultimate 20. I live in Pensacola Fl and sail and race out of FWYC in Ft Walton Beach.
Wanting to buy a used ultimate 20, mainly to PHRF. My questions are what are the better year models/hull #s to buy and what week
points/issues do the boats have that i should look for before buying .

Martin,

All hulls from 1 to 250 and beyond are excellent boats.  The Ultimate 20 is one boat that built to stand the test of time.  Top boats in the North Americans have competed at a high level no matter what hull #.

Things to look for would be how well the keel box (forward dry well has been kept dry). If it has not then it is important to check the condition of the stringer to make sure it is still solid.

Outside of that, everything else should be obvious.
