Title: Pensacola Spring Regattas
Post by: Steve Rose on November 16, 2013, 01:17:58 AM: Team Sassy is returning to the road. I'd like to travel back to Pensacola the spring again.

Billy or Chappie, any suggestions on options for the spring?

The Intergalactic Keelboat Round up at Pensacola YC is Feb 22-23rd. We can definitely get a OD start there.
St Pete Nood is the week before...around an 8 hr ride from Pensacola.
Around the first 2 weekends in march we also have the Maxine series on pensacola bay.
Fairhope YC usually has the Dogwood regatta in Mid march timeframe but no official dates yet.

I would propose the IKBR and the Dogwood
What do you think Billy?

Post by: Billy Ellis on December 02, 2013, 03:34:51 AM: I love sailing on Pensacola Bay. The larger question is getting the FYC boats pack up and travel a hour down the road. I need to check conflicts and would be willing to move some things around if the rest of the guys will go.

Have tow vehicle and tons of experience moving/ rigging/derigging boats.

I am as well considering traveling there for the spring event.

Will the club be open to rig Friday morning and maybe go out for a warm up sail?
