Title: Keel Wedges
Post by: Brian Denney on August 31, 2016, 12:00:29 PM
After "kissing" a large rock under sail with the keel, we have broken off the end (roughly bottom 2 inches) of one of the wedges that are attached to the top of the keel on each side directly under the keep cap. Does anyone know of a supplier / part number? Also what purpose do these wedges on each side of the keel serve? I assume they act as guides to ensure the keel is centered side to side when you get the end of the lowering process. Anything else?
Thanks,
Brian

Brian,

I would check with the godfather of the class, Don Corey.
