Does anyone have a photo of the Cunningham hook for the mainsail downhaul? I seem to be missing mine and have had to tie the tack down to the gooseneck.

A bit on the pricey side, but I like this one because it can't slip out.

Thanks!
Do you happen to have a photo of it mounted?

Something like this, bolted onto the gooseneck?

No you should have a block and tackle setup that gives you some purchase to flatten the main. There are pictures in the setup guide on the class site.

I don't use one any more as I like to run the cunno through the tack slug then up through the cunno and back down and tied to the goose neck. This helps to pull the tack slug down to the boom as you apply cunno. This is a trick we use on most boats now that have a floating tack.

Good idea. Do you just tie it off at the goose neck?

Awesome! Thanks all for the info!

@Travis
Yes I do just tie it there. You could go all fancy and do a soft shackle but a bowline or a bunch of hitches work just fine :)
