Title: Dock Hoist Bridle

Is there a specific bridle for dry storing the u20 from a crane/hoist?

I saw some images of it simply being lifted by the keel, single-point connection and whole boat being lifted that way. That cant be the correct way is it? If there is like a 3 point harness/bridle please share photos and ideally dimensions to fabricate.

If it is a 3-point lift, what are the anchor points and how to tell if they are robust for frequent hoist launching.

Any info is greatly appreciated. This is my first non-dinghy dry sailing, and the mass is making me nervous

It is a two point hoist system.  You attach a really good like to the top of the pole that is used to hoist the keel and another like to the eye right in front of the rudder.  The one to that eye in the stern is just to stabilize and shift the center aft slightly.  Most of the weight is on the pole.

Here’s a photo of the bridle, West Marine or any rigging shop can make one up.

I’ve attached a photo of the boat in the air, this was before I had my bridle made.

The line goes through the eye on the keel crane post and the wire connects to the eye on the transom.
