We had a discussion about the R2AK last summer.  It would be nice to not franken-mod the boat to much and go with oars, but it seems like all the winning boats have some kind of pedal power.

I'll PM you the contact of  a U20 owner who has  fabricated a lot of things in the past.  He would be a good person to ask about how this might be efficiently accomplished.

Keep us posted!

Long race to be cooped up on an Ultimate 20....sailing all the way down to Olympia can be a real pain when the wind dies at night.   But you could just get a Hobie kayak with pedal power to tow the U20 in the calm conditions, probably more efficient than oars.   I'll stick with the Three Bridge Fiasco and Delta Ditch for sportboat sailing.
