Title: Upgraded Rigging from SOS
Post by: Steve Shaw on December 30, 2024, 09:11:29 PM
It's winter time and some days are just too cold to be outside working.  I have made many of the Shapes Of Speed suggested lines that will make your Ultimate 20 sailing faster and more comfortable.  Now's the time to stock up and get ready for next season and optimize your boat.
Spinnaker Halyard- 1/4" (6mm) Green Robline tapered dyneema and Polyester cover, w/ halyard stop ball $160
Tackline- 5/16" (8mm) Blue or Yellow New England Flightline tapered dyneema and XLF Polypropylene cover to not absorb water $90
Spinnaker Sheet- 5/16" (8mm) Yellow or Blue New England Flightline Non tapered "T config" $180  (suggested for small hands and medium/heavy air)
Spinnaker Sheet- 1/4" (6mm) Red and Green New England Flightline Tapered ends "Y config" $180  (suggested for light air sailing)
Pole Out Line- 7mm Black Robline Single Braid Dyneema blend $35 (soft and subtle to run very easily at the turning block on pole housing.  Comes with abrasion sleeve)
Jib Furler Line- 3/16" (5mm) Pink Robline Dinghy Control tapered dyneema core $35  (makes furling easier with no stretch and small diameter wraps on drum)

I get asked a lot about other colors.  I do have other styles (materials) and colors for some of the lines if specifically requested.

Can you make/get those cockpit bag organizers?

Contact Paul DiMarco, a former U20 owner that still makes them.  Just make sure the edges are beefed up or they rip out.
