Ultimate 20 Marketing
« on: April 20, 2011, 03:13:16 PM »
Hi All,

This is to give you an update on the efforts to market the Ultimate 20.

First, our builder for the Ultimate 20 is Columbia Yachts in California.

Our east coast and west coast reps are Don Corey and Drew Harper, respectively.

I have discussed this with the board and with our current Vice President, Mark Allen, who moving forward is in charge of the marketing drive. This will give us consistancy in our marketing direction for many years to come.

We have great exposure with the Mallory Cup this year, see thread  http://u20class.org/Forum/index.php?topic=198.0

The Class has sponsored the Pacific Strictly Sailboat Show which has shown great interest in the boat.  Special thanks to Mike Josselyn and a group of volunteers to make this a success.  See thread  http://u20class.org/Forum/index.php?topic=177.0

We are trying to get our class members to show up to events that create great exposure, such as Charleston Race Week which was just completed.

We are working on an opportunity on a group purchase of Ultimate 20's from GYA which is in competition with other designs.

Mark Allen is working on other directions in which he can add as he gets further along.

All this can only be done with the support of our members.  If you are not a member, please consider joining.  This allows us to market the Ultimate 20 further.

Lastly, show up to North American's, it is our biggest event of the season and this shows the strength of the class.

Questions welcome,

Sincerely,

Gregg Henning
Ultimate 20 Class President

Thanks for the update Gregg.

On the west coast, if someone were to put in a new U20 order, about how long would one expect to take delivery?

Jay

Since we have one in stock, not long!  Just work out the deal with Don Corey!
