mooring/keel
« on: July 15, 2016, 01:18:55 PM »
Hello,

I live along the intracoastal in North Carolina. I have a boat ramp, but no slip, or dock.

How would the U20 do moored along the intracoastal in water depth of from 2 feet to 5 feet, with keel up, of course?

I currently leave a skiff moored for up to a week or so, which works out fine for impromptu island hopping.

Would be really nice to be able to punch out the inlet for a sail in the afternoons.

I'm pretty sure I have seen that some have hinged the rudder. True?

Thanks!

Gregg Henning

There is a kick up rudder available.  Mooring would be fine, however I would be concerned in high winds.
