New halyard and sheets
« on: August 02, 2026, 05:54:56 PM »
I read the common maintenance thread guide for halyards and sheets. I have also searched the forum. Just want to verify jib sheet diameter at 8mm (5/16). Found a thread from a few years back and SOS was using Flight Line for spin sheets, what tech line are folks using for jib sheets?

Also are the measurement in the guide accurate,  such as Spin Halyard 72ft and jib sheet 30ft?

Anyone have preferred tapered lengths for sheets, halyards, and tack?  Adding those to the guide would be helpful for us newbies.

Kind Regards

Ryan

If you've already read about Shapes of Speed and know how much work they have put into the boats, then you should probably just go straight to the source.
And no, we don't use a Tech line for jib sheets.
