2008 Election and Ballot Results
« on: October 17, 2008, 02:49:36 PM »
Greetings,

From those of you who are in the northern climates, we are beginning to put our boats to rest for the season.  I for one had another great season on one of the greatest boat around.  I would also like to take this time to inform the Association of the results from our Class ballot and to apologize for it being so late.  I have had an extremely busy Fall and have been out of the country for 3 weeks.  Still, these results should have been posted much earlier.

As you know, we had elections of Officers for the 2009-2011 term.  I will be officially stepping down into Past President making room for our next President Mr. Gregg Henning.  I personally feel fortunate to have Gregg taking the helm as his has been very active in the fleet events and issues not to mention keeping our web site current.  Thanks Gregg for your past years and now for the coming term.

The ballot had 1 measure and 4 Executive Board Officer positions on it.  Here are the results:
39 Ballots returned

Item 1 – Check stays are allowed as supplied by the Builder and installed per the Builder’s specifications           yes 33,  no 6

Item 2 – Elections:
President – Gregg Henning
Vice President – Trent Watkins
Secretary/Treasurer – Allyson Young
Chief Measurer – Richard Hunt

Thanks to all of you for making the Ultimate 20 Class a wonderful fleet to be a part of.  The boat itself is simply wonderful to sail but it is the Class that makes it fun to look forward to Class events.

Best Wishes to all of you and good luck to those of you fortunate to be sailing this November at the East Coast Championship on Lake Norman.

Regards,
Bob Aman

Bob,

Thanks for your continued service to the class.  I know the last couple of years was not easy.

I am looking forward to a great future for the U20 Class.
