Keel Bolt Size
« on: August 16, 2012, 03:44:10 PM »
Well, it looks like we are finally going to be able to get #183, now named Off-Kilter, on the water this weekend, and I'm really excited.

The former owner did an excellent job of organizing the boat for us and prepping it for transport, but I can't seem to find the keel bolts.

Does anyone have the exact size/type of bolt committed to memory, and, if so, can you pass that information along to me?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Under - boat maintenance and care - there is a topic on the third page named Scottie bolts. They are what you are looking for.

Looking deeper I found the website for Scotty bolts.

www.Scotty.com

They make fishing equipment and sue the same bolts for some of their downriggers.  My guess on the size would be 5/16 x 1 1/2 to 2" threads.

Their number is 800-214-0141
