Launching using Crane
« on: May 17, 2017, 08:09:27 PM »
Hey Everyone,
I'm new owner of hull 20. Will be sailing out of Galveston Bay. I will be in dry storage using a crane to launch the boat. Boat came with chain and line and I have found the hoisting loop at the top of keel crane post.

I assume the way it works is as the boat is lifted the keel drops into place and when in the water we secure it with keel bolts?

Or are we to somehow keep the keel locked in the up position and once the boat is in the water attach the crane and lower.

Any other types on crane launching would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Bryan Colby

Bryan,

Give me a call when you have time and I will discuss with you as I also dry sail my boat off a ctrane all the time.
