So far, I have used continuous Jib and Spin sheets for decades on my Santana 2023r, Buccaneer 18, Santana 20, and Catalina 16.5 with H170 Assym spinnaker setup.
The biggest reasons are WAY less line underfoot and I can reach the correct sheet from just about anywhere on boat. Setup seems to be faster too since I am tying two lines to the clew. I stripped the ends back on the spin sheets to the first block for the super light conditions we sometimes sail into on our little desert lake.
Only drawback is when the sheet is a foot too short - can cause a trip or two when crossing the boat.
I did put up the mast today and fiddled around with a spool of line till I had enough for a continuous Jib and spin with a 2' pigtail.
Will be striping back the cover and then will measure and post once complete. Test will be the AZ Governors Cup 11/21.
Still trying to work out where all the blocks in the basket go. May start a new thread in the appropriate forum.
Thx
Mike
