Rules:
1. Only Ultimate 20’s can enter the U20 Season Championship.
2. Participants should be current year U20 Class Members.
3. All boats shall be equipped and raced in accordance with the current Class Rules.
4. Skipper shall sail all races. In distance races, Skippers may rotate with Crew.
5. Season Championship determined by lowest points based on the Position Scored for each of the Events listed under the Season Championship. RYC Mid-Winter and HO Lind Series will be scored for each date.
6. A Mid-Winters Champion will be determined by the finish within each of the following races held at the Richmond Yacht Club: January, February, and March Mid-winters and Big Daddy One Design Races. Should there be a tie, the Mid-Winters Champion will be determined from the position in the Big Daddy One Design Race Series.
7. A maximum of twelve events will be scored towards the Season Championship; with one throwout allowed.
8. For Regattas or Series without a One Design Start, scoring will be based on relative positions compared to other U20’s participating in race. At least 3 boats must be registered for the event in order for it to count towards the Season Championship.
9. Substitute races may be used to replace a missed race(s) in the Season Championship list. Up to four substitute races may be sailed and the position scored substituted for scores that were missed in Championship series as long as at least 3 U20s are in the substitute regatta.
10. Any Skipper that wins the Pacific Coast Championship will have their total score reduced by 2 points at the end of the season.
11. If there is a tie, the tie will be broken by the better scoring boat in the Great Pumpkin One Design Series assuming both boats have raced in that Series. Otherwise, it will be the better scoring boat in the Big Daddy One Design Series assuming both boats have raced in that Series.
