I’m in. I’ll be bringing Running With Scissors (Steve Rose’s boat) down from Duluth. Rumor has it “You Sassy B!” will also be making the trip up from Columbia.
Two crew that sailed with Steve last bayfield race week really want to come participate, but Sassy and Scissors are already fully crewed. Are there any boats in the area (or anywhere between Minnesota and North Carolina) that are available for charter? We can pick up along the way if necessary.
Also, obligatory first post comment: Hi all, my name is Mike. I borrowed Scissors from Steve Rose for two years before he passed away. He made a huge impression on me, and the U20 has an incredibly special place in my heart. I can never repay Steve, but I’m doing my best to honor his memory by sailing as much as possible, encouraging others as much as possible, and perfecting my goombay smash recipe. I’m really looking forward to coming down to race with the community down south.
