cabin organizers
« on: December 12, 2020, 08:19:59 PM »
Anyone have any pictures of "cabin organizers" that they are willing to post?  Line storage, hatch cover holders, bits and pieces.  Getting tire of living out of two laundry baskets.  Would like to have some season storage/usage ideas.

Thanks, Mike

Mike, great question.  I use mostly laundry baskets also, but I have a couple of organizers.  Bags on the inside of the bulkhead, a place to hold the hatch covers, and a place to hold the keel winch.  I have attached some pictures.  I have also made a strip of starboard, not shown, which keeps the laundry baskets from sliding to the center when the boat heels to port.

My boat is one of the early ones, #7 which has a smaller vertical hatch than later models.  This makes a big step to get out of the cabin.  I use a plastic milk carton as a movable step that is just the right height and can be moved in and out of the way easily.

Slick!  Especially like the hatch cover holders.

Mike, note the hook on the bulkhead at the upper right side of the main hatch.   This keeps the hatches from tipping out when heeling.
Good Luck
