Stanchion repair/upgrade
« on: October 15, 2025, 06:55:29 PM »
Boat #24 has the old style stern stanchions with low profile and only two vertical members. The flexing has broken one of the welds and we would like to strengthen each stanchion with a third vertical member (like in design on newer boats). Any suggestions for where to go for repairs / modification or to get a new pair manufactured? Many thanks for your help. I promise to keep the group updated.

Travis Gregory recommended https://railmakers.com/ who was one of the OEM. I would like to get a couple more quotes.

By way of update, I got two quotes for the repair of our stern stanchions and the addition of a third vertical member (to match newer boats). We went with Dave at Railmakers who did a quality job in just three weeks including shipping time to and from.
