Keel gasket
« on: August 27, 2011, 08:35:15 PM »
I believe that there was a thread on what to use when replacing the keel gasket and where to get it, but i cannot find this information.

Can anyone provide suggestions?

Thanks,

I think that post was on the yahoo group.  I remember something about someone using a rubber welcome mat.

Various materials have been used.  1/4" or 3/8" sticky back neoprene rubber works best.  Vince at Columbia Yachts 714-227-9212 has the cutting tool for these but may not have the material.  Try that and if he cannot do it I have a pattern and can cut one out by hand.
Let me know,

Great.  Thanks.

Any idea where to source the material if they don't have it at Columbia?

Thanks,
Phil
