Southeastern U20 Regatta planning
« on: August 27, 2013, 12:19:42 AM »
I'm the new U20 South Eastern Representative and I'd like to get some southern boats moving this fall.

Here's my schedule for the fall: (for both #227,  #50 and the Goombay Blender)

Labor Day Regatta, Lake Norman Yacht Club,  Aug 30-Sep 1
Outback Regatta,  Columbia Sailing Club Sep 27-29
Halloween Regatta, Augusta sailing Club Oct 11-13
Lake Hartwell Hospice Regatta Oct 18-20
CKOD,  Lake Norman Yacht Club Nov 8-10

Any other suggestions for fall Regattas? A Charleston or Wrightsville Beach event would be interesting. Let's talk.

Thank you Steve for stepping up to the U20 SE District rep job (no rest for the U20 Goombay Smash blender).
This is the tentative fall schedule for me:
U20 NAC at Marina Del Rey CA - Sept 12-15
Outback Cup Regatta at Columbia Sailing Club on Lake Murray - Sept 28-29 (to defend my title)
OR U20 Gulf Coast Championship at Fairhope Yacht Club on Mobile Bay - Sept 28-29 (to support the fastest growing fleet in the US)
This depends on how much energy I have on the way back from the NACs
Leukemia Cup Regatta by Outrigger Yacht Club on Lake Norman - Oct 11-12
Hospice Regatta at Western Carolina Sailing Club on Lake Hartwell - Oct 18-20
Carolina Keelboat One Design Regatta (CKOD) at Lake Norman Yacht Club - Nov 8-10
My tentative fall schedule......  Don Corey

Thanks Steve.

Rumbullion is doing the NAC's in Marina Del Ray, planning on Hospice at Western Carolina (great U20 turnout last year), Carolina Keelboat at Lake Norman.

Is Lake Norman 2 days or 3?

Steve, Kris and I will be at the Outback, the Hospice at WCSC and we'll try to make the CKOD at Lake Norman. A prior business commitment may keep us sidelined in Nov.

The Lake Norman CKOD Regatta is a 2 day event, November 9 & 10.
